What is a biological lifting injection?
This is an injectable treatment, without surgery, for skin that is beginning to show its age. Typical signs are a drop in firmness and elasticity: fine lines, a cheek and jaw area that looks less tight, and a generally tired complexion.
The active ingredient is hyaluronic acid. Your skin produces this water-binding molecule naturally, but makes less of it as the years pass. After injection it supports the skin's own repair processes, collagen production among them. The goal is skin that feels firmer, springier and better hydrated, with fine wrinkles softened. Dr. Yazır chooses the specific product with you at the consultation and uses licensed medical products only.
The word "lifting" can mislead: this is not surgery. Deeper tissues are not repositioned. What changes is the quality of the skin, so the effect builds slowly and looks natural.
Why is it called the "6-point lift"?
You may also see it described as the 6-point lifting injection. Rather than dozens of small pricks over the face, the product enters through 6 fixed injection points. It then disperses evenly beneath the skin of the cheeks and lower face.
| Biological lifting injection | Dermal filler | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Skin quality: firmness, elasticity, fine lines | Adding volume, shaping contours |
| Placement | Six fixed points; product disperses under the skin | Directed at one chosen area |
| Alters the shape of the face | No | Yes |
| Usual plan | Two sessions, then maintenance | Often one treatment, then top-ups |
| More information | You are on it | Dermal fillers |
What does the evidence say?
- An open-label study followed 64 women between 38 and 60 years old who received this point-based technique twice, roughly four weeks apart. Over 16 weeks, clinical scales, the women's own ratings and skin measurements all improved, and the injections were well tolerated.
- Nine studies of this kind of hybrid hyaluronic acid product were pooled in a 2026 systematic review. It found better scores for elasticity, hydration, density, laxity and wrinkles, with mild side effects that generally cleared within 72 hours. Note that several authors are employed by the manufacturer.
- Wider research on injected hyaluronic acid for facial skin quality, in a separate systematic review, also showed gains in hydration, firmness and elasticity. A 2025 meta-analysis, however, found a clear hydration benefit but none for elasticity. Bigger independent trials are still lacking.
Taken together, the data reasonably support firmer, more elastic and better-hydrated skin, but the improvement is slow and smaller than surgery can give.
Who is a biological lifting injection suitable for?
Adults of any age may consider it when they want to tackle early laxity, fine lines and reduced elasticity with a modern skin treatment that needs no surgery. Dr. Yazır first looks at your skin type and overall health, as with every aesthetic treatment.
| Often a good match | Worth pausing or picking another option |
|---|---|
| Skin that has become less firm and springy | Obvious sagging or loose skin |
| Fine lines, crepey surface | Deep folds or substantial volume loss |
| Flat, dry or fatigued-looking skin | Acne flare, infection or cold sore in the zone |
| Wanting a natural look and minimal recovery | Pregnant or breastfeeding |
| Expecting a slow, moderate change | Allergic to a component of the product |
When lost volume or sagging is the bigger issue, the discussion may turn to cheek fillers, nasolabial fold fillers or a midface lift. For skin quality, facial mesotherapy and PRP facial rejuvenation are further alternatives.
How is the treatment performed?
- Planning. Dr. Yazır reviews your skin, health history and wishes, then draws up a plan for you.
- Getting ready. Make-up is removed, the skin is cleaned and disinfected, and the six points are marked.
- The injections. With a fine needle or cannula, the product is placed beneath the skin at each of the six points. This part generally takes 15 to 30 minutes.
- Afterwards. You carry on with your day and follow the aftercare guidance you receive.
What does recovery look like?
Most people bounce back fast, although every skin heals at its own pace.
| After the session | Typical course |
|---|---|
| Same day | Small raised spots at the six points, slight redness or puffiness |
| Days 1 to 2 | The spots flatten as the product disperses; make-up is usually fine after 24 hours |
| Days 3 to 7 | Bruises, if any, disappear |
| Around week 4 | Second session |
| The months after | Firmness, elasticity and skin quality improve slowly |
In the first few days, leave out strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol, keep out of intense sun, and avoid massaging or pressing the treated skin unless told otherwise.
How do I plan my trip to Izmir?
| Your situation | Possible plan |
|---|---|
| Short stay of 1 to 2 days | Consultation and session one, often alongside another treatment |
| Coming back roughly 4 weeks later | Session two plus a review |
| Further trips | Maintenance sessions as agreed together |
You can usually fly the following day. The clinic is in the Egeperla building in Konak, about 25 to 30 minutes by car from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB). WhatsApp photos let Dr. Yazır give a first opinion; he confirms the plan once he has examined you.
What are the risks?
Patients generally tolerate the treatment well, and in the studies mentioned above the side effects were mild and brief. As with all injections, the following can occur:
- Little bumps, redness and puffiness where the needle went in
- Bruises and soreness
- Small lumps you can see or feel
- Infection or an allergic response (uncommon)
- Injected hyaluronic acid blocking a blood vessel (uncommon, but serious)
A review on vascular occlusion after hyaluronic acid injection stresses careful technique, fast recognition and prompt treatment with hyaluronidase. The US FDA recommends going to a licensed health care provider with injecting experience, a sound knowledge of facial anatomy and the ability to deal with complications.
How long do results last?
Since the body slowly breaks hyaluronic acid down, the effect does not last forever. It is usually said to hold for several months, and many patients book maintenance sessions to keep their skin firm and hydrated. Your skin, your age and habits such as smoking and sun exposure all influence how long it lasts.
Why is a consultation important?
The term "biological lifting" covers several different products, and no single one fits every skin. During the consultation Dr. Yazır tells you which product he suggests, what is in it, how many sessions are planned and what you can realistically expect. If a filler, PRP or surgery would match your goals better, he will say so.
